Bengaluru: Brigade Enterprises Limited has acquired a 5.72-acre land parcel in Hyderabad through an auction conducted by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, as it sharpens focus on expanding its residential footprint in key southern markets. The company purchased Plot 6 at Osman Nagar at a price of ₹44 crore per acre, excluding registration charges. The outright acquisition translates into a significant land investment as Brigade prepares to launch a premium residential development in the micro-market. The move underscores Brigade's calibrated expansion strategy in Hyderabad, which has emerged as one of the country's most active housing markets, driven by sustained IT-led demand and infrastructure upgrades. "Hyderabad has been a key focus market for us, having emerged as one of the most dynamic real estate markets in the country and this land parcel in Osman Nagar is a strategic fit, meeting our stringent criteria for scale and suitability for premium development," said Amar Mysore. "We are committed to contributing to Hyderabad's skyline by integrating high-technology developments and world-class construction standards that reflect the city's status as a global enterprise hub. This acquisition is a vital step in our expansion in the city, as we strive to deliver excellence and create future-ready spaces that meet the evolving demands of the city," Mysore added. Osman Nagar, located in the western corridor of Hyderabad, has been gaining traction among developers due to its proximity to established IT hubs such as HITEC City and Gachibowli. The area also benefits from connectivity via the Outer Ring Road, relatively low-density surroundings, and increasing social infrastructure, making it conducive for premium residential developments. Industry experts note that developers are increasingly targeting such emerging micro-markets, where land parcels of meaningful scale are still available, even as core locations become saturated and expensive. Brigade's latest acquisition comes amid a broader trend of large listed developers stepping up land purchases across high-growth cities, supported by strong balance sheets and sustained housing demand. The company has been selectively adding land parcels that align with its strategy of developing mid-to-premium housing projects in urban centres. With close to four decades of experience, Brigade Group has built a diversified portfolio spanning residential, office, retail, hospitality and education segments. The company has a presence across cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mysuru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and GIFT City, and has been steadily scaling up its development pipeline in recent years. The Hyderabad acquisition is expected to further strengthen Brigade's presence in the city, as it looks to tap into steady end-user demand and position itself in the premium housing segment.
